Hi, I want a postal order for £8. 40 and have a spare £5.10 postal order lying at home. Would I be allowed to use it to make up part of the money and just get a £3.30 one from the post office?
    Just making sure

So long as the £5.10 one hasn't got a payee written on it already then yes just use that one and add a bit extra.

Ask in the PO when you go to buy the extra one if there's a length of time before they expire - I don't think there is but even if there is, I would suspect it's like 6 months or something at the very least.
