    my one teacher who is in that union could strike cause we have a trip thing to a uni for a conference

    Their regular striking isn't working. They seem to have striked more times than a profession ten pin bowler has. :eek:

    My college were also on strike today over a £6,000 pay difference meaning 95% of the lessons were off.

    They went on Strike because they get £6,000 less than school teachers, when in their opinion, they do equal or infact more work.

    I'm surprised they're complaining really considering they get a little under £30,000 a year...

    hehe, well there's two unions in our college the one all the english, history, drama....fun people are in...they strike, then we have the ones the boring math teachers are in and they never strike.

    The teachers were on strike, but MY teachers (ie the ones that taught me) weren't, so I still had to go in.

    Even though my history lecturer wasn't striking as such he told us not to turn up because he would be at home not crossing the picket line so as not to upset his collegues...I think he just wanted a night off more than anything!!
