whats wrong with you man, "theta" is just a constant just use x , dont keep typing out theta it doesnt mean anything special.
4. Use the quadratic formula (since the equation above is unfactorisable) to calculate two values of theta. Inverse this value and equate it to tan and solve as required.

Incidentally, what is the range?
5. range is -180 to 180 hahaha sorry dudes
