    I want to go to Oxford too, but my grades aren't good enough. It's about either doing two things:

    a) - Work harder, and get the grades for the university of your dreams.

    b) - Accept the fact you may not be a good enough student to go to these universities and make the most of your ability at a lower ranked institution. This by no means means giving up but at the same time realising that not everyone is capable of achieving top grades in the real world.

    There's no shame in not going to a top 10 university, in fact it's a very small percentage of people who do go to top universities. Your fate is entirely in your own hands, but changing a choice to the same course in a less demanding university wouldn't be the end of the world, it'd be realistic.
    thanks,makes me feel so much better.i didn't apply to the top ten unis coz i know i owuldn't get in anyways odds arre stacked against me for soo many reasons.and i'm not ashamed of that either.

    i wouldnt worry about your predictions you will still get the offers from most places just as long as you make sure that you get the grades in the end!

    i was worried about my predictions but so far so good with the offers. im not very hopeful about getting anything other than a rejection from warwick though but i thought it was worth a try.

    i took a chance by applying to nottingham so i'll see.my ref still hasn't sent mine yet.
