Have you haven't been eating whilst using your laptop?

My dad has told me in the past of keyboards that were not working, turn upside down and shake. Result: crisps, bits of sandwich, bits of chocolate etc. Oh, and a paperclip as well. Keyboard usually works again afterwards.

Probably not your problem.

Laptop keyboards are usually held in by some trim and are removed in seconds. It will probably take PC World weeks to sort it out though (don't like them if you haven't guessed).
