I think it's horrible news but was to be expected. It's weird 'cos most people would prefer a more curvy girl, not a skeleton.

i dont understand it- the majority of women are not stick think, so why do most designers design clothes for stick thin people, and then get stick thin people to model them? guys even FIND girls who arent stick thin more attractive than those who are.. i really dont understand where this obsession has derived from..

not surprised,if u look at all of them they're all underweight if not anorexic or bulimic.who came up with the skinny id beautiful idea anyways??person obviously has no taste.it just makes poor girls want to be 'perfect' and they nearly kill themselves trying to look like models in mags who i might have have been airbrushed and made up for hours plus their pics retouched.so the it girls themselves don't feel beautiful enough n are forced to become even skinnier so they keep their jobs...such a vicious cycle.

there's no such thing as perfect.what they really mean is u'll do for now coz u're dead skinny u might be a bit special but in a few months or so...ok after ur time is up u'll be worse than ever coz some other girl will be thinner than u r...so mean they r

Most modelling agencies are being very careful about the weight of their models and about EDs now, they have been in so much trouble for provoking anorexia and other Eds in young girls that they are having to quite strict in controlling how they present models and who they represent.

Obviously, there are exceptions, as you've pointed out, but from my experience they are trying not to give off that impression.

Having said that, my g/f was told to lose weight and she is very slim so...

While I personally feel that something like this happening is morally wrong, as with other people who have already posted, I'm not surprised that it would happen.

It depends how anorexic she is though. Most people automatically think of someone really thin, probably weighing about 5 stone with all their bones jutting out. But not every anorexic girl is like that!

I've got some friends who are anorexic but recovering, and so are up to more normal weights. And some anorexic people might not be that thin yet, or might get help before ever getting that thin. So it might not be immidiately obvious they're anorexic, so the model agency might not have done anything wrong.

You haven't read my post. She might be anorexic but not that skinny. You're buying into the sterotype, but not all anorexic girls are like that.

your mates are recovering anorexics and good on them.hope they make it fully.but you have to remember it's not a recovering anorexic now?and you hardly find well rounded fuller figure models do you?their bones don't have to jutt out they could be size 6 but the fact that they're anorexic is coz of their mental attitue to body image and food.i'm trying to be objective but u know u hardly find anorexics that are size 18's.

Proof size does matter???
