Just streetmapped it, if I'm right with where I think it is, that'll be fine. It's near the Canary Wharf bit of the Docklands anyway, a bit grimey maybe, but that's why that area's one of my favourite bits of London like I said. Also, i think it's a little more green and suburban-ish there, might don't quote me on that! You're minutes from a nice Mainline, DLR and Jubilee Line station (though the mainline company that runs through it is abysmal, but I think you can get straight there from Euston on that line). ExCel is near there.

Is it a hotel chain?

Go here: http://www.upmystreet.com/local/police-crime/figures/l/E14+2aa.html

Then edit it with your own postcode and see how it compares

Its a Travelodge, PS Dog I have used that site many times, basicaly my post code is fully of graduate hippies that run their own businesses, read the Guardian and hate cars and Sky TV.

PS That Post Code thing dosn't work for me becuase I live in a better area of Manchester so it affects the averages quite some what.

I didn't suggest upmystreet

London is very odd, even within one borough you'll get a world of different demographics.

So I can't tell you what the area's like properly even though I've been around there loads of times. But I think it's alright, certainly fine for one night.

Is that the place that was on the programme a Life of Grime?

It is, but like I said, within a borough you get very different areas. It's not all tower blocks.

Ah right. Got to say it didn't compare with my postcode overly well but as said before you get so many different crime rates within one borough. Besides, this is Northumberland, there are hardly any cars here to steal anyway :p:
Where did you think the Docklands was?

If it's the Travelodge at the junction of the A13 and Blackwall Tunnel Approach (think it's near All Saints DLR) then it's a decent area - bit industrial, but not that pikie.

I know it was in the Eastend but I we thought the Hotel would be in the middle of it rather than to edge of it so to speak.
Lol I've been living here all my life.

Near Docklands, the hotels etc are cool.
