Does the mirror or camera lie?

I had a look at some photo's of me while i was younger and i looked sooo ugly i thought i was going to be sick.Although when i look at myself in the mirror i do not think i look too bad.I get told i am very cute and pretty and i normally get male attention ( i almost always get male attention when i go shopping) Also i a few boys have thought i am attractive (even one celeb).I only look nice in photos when i pose for them or i take them myself.

Anyone else like this?

The camera can make you look weird depending on the light and angle the photo is taken at. When looking at a mirror you align yourself so you look your best-that's probably how others see you too as the eyes are drawn to familiar features and face shapes I think. With photos if you look at the camera it can catch some weird things on your face, say if there are shadows on it, or a wonky nose. It's very fixed on a camera and not really like the real world.
You sound like the kind of person who relentlessly pouts their lips with self-shots.

amiright?
I'm not sure. I'm sure if I say the mirror is definitely the fibber, you will be mildly upset, but oh well. Depends on the camera. Some cameras are kinder, but my 10.2MP camera picks up the little things you hate, whereas other cameras might still be high-quality, but skim over the tiny despisable details. On the other hand, I have some days where I look great in pictures and others when I look rubbish, but oh well.

You get male attention nearly everytime you go shopping?....:s-smilie:
Do guys just randomly approach you or something?

And, to answer your question, I seriously hope the camera lies as I look terrible in photos! Apart from posed webcam ones - anyone can look good in them .

I say that the mirror is how you see yourself and the camera is how other people see you.

Up to you to decide what "truth" is.

You mean like this?

:awesome:

:rofl2:

OT: The mirror is the truth in terms of light, etc but the left & right is switched. The camera is the opposite.

the mirror is not the true self as it is a reflected version of us, the camera will show what you really look like. The camera shows us as we are perceived by others.

As a child, my mirror told me that if I placed a fallen tooth under my pillow before I went to bed, it would be replaced with a shiny pound coin the next day. It never happened. I never looked at my mirror the same again. So yes, mirrors do lie. Not sure about cameras.
Video Camera?

It captures your face in motion.
Maybe the camera caught you at the wrong moment.
The mirror can lie if it's one of those funny ones you get at a funfair.

When I look in mirror, I think, "Yeah, just about acceptable in public." but when I see photos of myself I have to have a bucket on standby.

They say the camera adds 10 pounds.

In that case, how many cameras are on you?:colone:

I did an experiment once - take a photo of yourself while looking in the mirror and compare the results. I often find that I look infinitely better in the mirror (I don't consider myself atrociously ugly but I'm not going to pretend I'm Brad Pitt either) and the photo is horrid, but I put that down to just not being photogenic.

Cameras and mirrors don't talk. See a doctor.

Damn, I have reached the limit of how many posts I can rate today.
I find I generally look better in the mirror. With cameras there are just too many variables as has already been mentioned, i.e. light/shadow, exposure, blurring, angle, etc.
camera is a lying C-nt
