why do I feel like this?

he's just a friend and being friendly, tell this to your self a million times a day. dont worry its just a crush , it will fade after time. think about his bad qualities also, and eventually you may not like him( i know it sounds stupid but there's no harm in giving it a try), think bad stuff about him.

it happens to everyone, and youre describing the classic symptoms! It may not feel like it, but the feelings will pass - often we have crushes on people we know we shoudnt. Best advice is just to get on with things, keep yourself busy. But who knows, he may be feeling the same way about you. Good Luck :wink:

um why exactly cant you feel that way about him?? is he ur teacher/lecturer/boss/doctor even???? cos the age difference really isnt that big! if you really want to, find out how he feels about you (and do this by coming straight out and asking him!!!) and take it from there! knowing where you stand could help you get over him if he doesnt feel the same way, or could lead to a totally fab relationship!

why waste your time on him when there are plenty of other great guys just like him out there and more your age at the same time, and while your getting upset about a guy you cant have theres going to be others you can have slipping away from you .

Hmm, I'd suggest you find out whether he feels the same way about you. I wouldn't worry about the age difference. I was with a 25 year old when I was 15. Now that was much "worse". You're nearly 18 anyway. I really don't think age should be the problem here.
