Mine's on Wednesday!

Luckily my Graphics tutor used to be at Ravensbourne & she has really good links with them.. There's a woman from the college coming in tomorrow to give us tips for the interview (think she might even interview some people as well) so I'll let you know if there's anything useful mentioned.

That's a really good idea from your mate cos I was more scared about the group speaking.

Just recieved a letter back from London College of Communication calling me for interview next Friday so I'm super stressed now :s-smilie:

yeah my art teacher used to be a governor. they generally LOVE my school so i'm trying not to get TOO nervous. i've heard nothing from camberwell yet. boo. but if it clashes i'm done for!! haha

is it shantell? she's lovely. she came in to talk to us a while back

I can't remember her name :s-smilie: but she was blonde + really nice!

Few helpful hints she gave us:
. Don't mount ANYTHING onto black in your portfolio. Only white
. Mount everything on the same size paper so it 'flows' well
. Make sure everything is stuck down..no loose sheets
. Don't put in sketchbooks that aren't completely finished

She said we will hear whether we get in after only a couple of weeks eeek!

Oh yeah don't worry about Camberwell not having got back to you - at the open day they said they don't start interviews till Feb.
And LCC took absolutely AGES to process my application..so I'm guessing they work on a similar time scale!

yeah that sounds like shantell

aaaargh i put one of my projects in on black because (being black and white photos) it just looked so awful on the bare board!! and i couldn't mount it cause of the way it's laid out. grrrrr. at least im using spray mount so it's easy to peel off....

mine's A1. weighs a ton. was gonna take it into school today, got out of my driveway and thought, i can't do this!! (1hr+ to get into orp from mine) so chucked it back in my house

hi, i've applied to do the foundation art n design course for the year, both for the reason most uni's for a degree follow on require you to have this extra yr, but too because it will enhance your view of art and allow you to explore other aspects which you have never come across before.

Even though you may love one area of art ie graphic design as myself, it is the exploration within this subject that makes it as interesting n fascinating as has been pointed out within this thread.

A few of my friends who initially thought of themselves as fine artists have gone on to do graphics, and some graphic designers, and have ended up doing fashion. Definately sorting out what type of artist you definately are.
