Ok, I'm 18 and its shameful I know but I only just plucked up the courage to try tampons (I must add - I LOVE THEM!) Anyway... I used them for the first month for 2 days, and thats all the period lasted for! Any correlation here? Mine ususally last 5+ days and I thought it a bit weird! Is this to do with the tampons? Ive not heard anything about them doing this anywhere. Was it co-incedence?
Hmmm...I dunno. Miner are shorter now, but thats after using them for a few years, and possibly because I'm a few years older and theyve evened out, so to speak. Just keep using them and see if it happens again, if it does, great!
maybe u used a bigger absorbance n it got everything?def not the tampons tho coz i'v been using them for a year or so now and my periods r the same lenght.although if you're on the pill,ur periods could be shorter.when i got on the pill my period could be done in 3/4 days and then maybe add an extra day for all the stuff to get out.but nothing to do with tampons i think u having a shorter period n stuff.
No, it doesnt have anything to do with it. Have you just gone on the pill? More importantly, have you had unprotected sex in the last month? Because if you are pregnant then you can have a very short light period anyway.
Nope just a change in using tampons, it's done it this time too. Thats twice in a row... maybe I'm lucky! I'm certainly not complaining 2 days is great!
I don't think they do, but they make certainly make peiods much easier and more pleasant (if that's the appropriate word for it? ) so they seem shorter to me, but I don't think they are.
They seem to. I guess they just absord more at a time, like, near the end of your period, they take up everything inside rather than you have to wait for it to come out..? Sorry if that's a little graphic.
ok think about it. When using pads, the blood has to travel all the way out of your *censored* to the pad. If you put a tampon up there, you're shortening the journey it has to make. You're still bleeding as much, but your "collection" method is far more effiecient. Does that make sense?

Am beginning to be worried cos mine used to be 5 days but I have watched it gradually reduced to 2 days with light flow. Does this mean that the tampon is not good for me?
