Do you think one night stands are more acceptable for guys than they are for girls?

Just wondering ... my best friend and I just talked about that and even tho - obviously - whenever a guy has a one night stand, there has to be a girl doing the same (unless he's gay, but different story :wink:

) it usually seems to be more acceptable for guys than it is for girls. Do you concur?

I personally think its just as acceptable for both guys and girls, but its true that alot of people will see it as if the guy has loads of one night stands, hes the stud of the town.
But if a girl has loads of one night stands shes a cheap dirty slut.
Its abit sad and pathetic to see it like that i think.

Yeah, that's what it's like lol I mean, I wouldn't admire anyone who has loads of one night stands, really, but then again it wouldn't really make a difference what sex they were. But if I saw someone really hot at a club, I'd feel pretty slutty asking him to come back to my place whereas guys probably wouldn't think it's a big deal.
But seriously, if a girl made a move on someone and it'd obviously just be for one night, wouldn't most guys consent but at the same time think lower of her?

Yes they would, but of course there not going to admit that otherwise they dont get there shag which they can probablly sadley add to a tally on the wall by the bed :p:

Uhm, not necessarily HER friends, I don't think they would. But the guy's friends would probably look down on her.
It's just unfair lol I don't see why it makes a difference, really. If they both know it's going to be for one night, it shouldn't matter. Hmm.

Yes its unfair but if i knew a girl who was being called a slut for 1 night stands,
i would tell her to not give a **** what other people think and just enjoy herself,
but at the sametime i would try and suggest to her to find someone for a more long term thing rather than a 1 off.
Basically because eventually they would get with a guy who makes out he has feelings for her just to get a few meaningless shags,
and of course thats just going to end in disaster

No, I agree. But what I was getting at is that sometimes, maybe they don't even intend to have anything long term-ish but just want to have fun. And then they're being judged for that which shouldn't be that way.

I say go with the flow let the people who do it do it, but me for one wouldn't go for the one night chance I'd prefer to know them not just for ther looks! I can maybe understand if you both totally match and talk alll night blah blah but I'm not totally sure!
