Anyone applying for Modern languages at Warwick?

I've applied for French at Warwick (UCAS sent off on Oct 14th) but still no word. Was wondering if anyone had any offers yet?

Last year my applicaton for German and Business Studies was the last of my applications to come back - sometime after Xmas definately so don't be hoping for one anytime soon. I think they like to look at all offers once the deadline for applications has closed.

hey,
I've got an offer for French with Italian, but I've got quite a lot of friends who've applied for languages there and haven't heard anything yet... apparently Warwick are notoriously slow so i wouldn't worry  Would Warwick be your first choice? Also when did you get your Sheffield offer?

I was think of applying to Warwick to do langauges. The only problem is that I want to do French and Spanish but from the website it looks like you can only do German and Spanish. Does anyone know if this is true?

I can't see a French and Spanish course run by the French department. We don't have a Spanish department here.

As for the courses, you can check out the current modules you can do via this link, but you can probably only do a limited amount of Spanish.

You can do Spanish modules, but they are language modules only, taught at the Language Centre:

http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/fac/arts/languagecentre/academic/spanish

You could email The School of Comparative American Studies:

I don't know what, if any, Spanish Lit. modules they teach though.

I've done a couple of Spanish modules at the Lang Ctr, and the teaching is very good. I'm not sure about combining French with Spanish though, sorry.

Does anyone know if learning modern languages at Warwick is more literature or language based?
