May I go to LSE as a mature student ?

I'm 19 years old, from China. Now, I as a auditor student in Peking University China.
I'm very interesting in International Relations of LSE. I'm planing go to lse 2006.But my qualification is so low,and English is so poor.
I learnd about that some without traditional qualifications ,will have an Access or Return to Study course. Is it right?

Could mature student attend lectures and classes with degree seeking students, have a personal tutor, and take the undergraduate examinations at the end of the academic year. In addition, General Course students may attend any LSe lecture course and have full use of the Library and anll student social, helth and welfare facilities? are they right?
Lastly, could I obtain a BSc International Relations degree from LSS after exminations.
thank you in advance.

Hey, I don't think you're not a mature student. To be a mature student you need to be aged 21 by August 31st 2006. What's a auditor student?

it doesn't matter how old you are. you can do a degree at age 18 or 80. but to get into LSE you need excellent academic grades and a good level of english.
i dont know what an access or return to study course is.
i advise you to check the LSE website.

thank you for your advise..but now I don't have excellent academic grades and a good level of english.Because I'm a idealist. I only know that I' will a excellent man one day.
work harder and harder. Because you want to go to LSE. I will win.
thank for everyone!

applicants over 21 get special consideration. - they maybe more sympathetic - more likely to get an offer ( but not a lower one)

being classified overseas will hep too

Reply 5

Mature students get interviews...meaning your chances may be higher...

Reply 6

you will only get interview if you have unusal qualifications/ or nothing

if you have a levels/or something higher like yourself - auditor student in Peking University, prob. no interview.

Well they aren't going to ask him to come all the way from Beijing, prossibly.

I wondering if I will be a mature student If I apply for 2011 entry. Is it the year that you become 21 that makes you a mature student, or do you have to be 21 when you apply for being considered as a mature student?

I'm 19 years old now and will be 21 in december 2011. And I don't want to be a mature student I wan't to beforever young:cry2:

you're NOT a mature student, since you're not older than 21-22 years old

most colleges & universities are not regarding whether you're mature or not but rather on your qualifications, personal achievements and usual criteria for admission

you can study at LSE by distance learning through their External Study Programme since you're an overseas applicant :

http://www.londonexternal.ac.uk/

http://www2.lse.ac.uk/study/externalStudy/home.aspx

unless you're really willing to go to UK and you can afford it

good luck
