Tricky girl situation (Advice)

I met these two girls at a dinner last week. Let's call them Sarah and Jane. I get talking to them and they both seem to really like me. I fancy both of them. They are best friends.

We decide to meet up at an event this weekend with a few friends of mine and theirs coming too. We don't get into the event cause it is packed, so we end up all going back to their college and in one of thier rooms. after several drinking games and two hours banter, everyone is completely pissed. i start subtly touching Sarah. the rest is a blur but this is what i think happens. everyone walks out of the room somewhere apart from me and sarah. we start pulling straight away and do so for a few minutes. Then i go and say goodnight to some of my mates who are sleeping in random rooms. then i go back and have a bit of a petting session with sarah. then she stops oit, saying she can't because Jane really likes me.

I leave the room and i think Jane is standing in the hall or something. i then end up in her room in bed with her, but we don't have sex. in the morning it felt sort of weird but good natured. we leave the college and walk home.

This would be another night of pissed up fun if it weren't for the fact I really like Jane. But everyone reckons they will talk because they are best mates and come to the conclusion i am a player or something.

So you reckon I have really blown it? I could pass it off as being really pissed. surely sarah won't tell Jane because she will be annoyed at her as well. what do you reckon i should say to both to salvage anything?

I think you should be ok with the drunken fun excuse. Sarah stopped it in the interest of Jane, and you stopped, so Sarah shouldn't run to Jane and say you are a player/unfaithful/not worth it or whatever; you listened to what she said and took her advice. Just say (which sounds mostly true) that you were drunk, and that you didn't realise exactly how Jane felt. I think if you are pleasant to Sarah, not hostile or evasive or anything, and give her no reason to bad mouth you, and *whilst sober* show Jane some attention, like the good guy I'm sure you are, it'll work out fine I'd say.

I'd suggest if you really like Jane, you tell her about you and Sarah before she confronts you with it. Sarah will tell Jane, pretty much 100% sure about that. At least, if I was Sarah, I would tell Jane. So I think you should call her or meet with her or whatever and tell her how you really liked her and you thought last night was great but that you felt you should tell her about you and Sarah because you hadn't been aware of Jane's true feelings and now you feel stupid about it and you apologize but you were really drunk etc ... Should be okay that way.

If you play it right they could both come out with a very good impression of you.

Hmmm, I think its all legit at the moment, probably the best idea would be to play it cool for a couple of weeks, and if J's the one you want then let it develop.

All Sarah can tell Jane is that they did some stuff together, both of them under the influence, and insitgated by both parties, Sarah told she wanted to stop, and how Jane felt, and he listened, didn't try to force her, and took what he'd just found out on board. I don't think there's anything bad for Jane to find out.

No, I don't either, at least not particularly, but Jane might be offended and think something along the lines of "He really wanted her and then came to me because she told him to" or something. I just think it might hurt her feelings a little. But then again, of course he didn't do anything wrong and if anything, Sarah made more of a mistake than him because she knew about Jane's feelings and she's her friend .. I don't think it should be much a problem altogether, I just think he'd better talk it over.

I doubt it- Jane is hardly going to fall out with Sarah because Sarah stopped it from happening becuse she cares about jane.
However even if you can persuade her you aren't a player, Jane is going to feel like second choice, even of that's not how you feel about her- I would never go out with a boy who had tried it on with my best friend first. If you really like her, you could explain everything to her and see what she does, but you may well have blown it to be blunt.

hmm.. i suppose...but Sarah might think that Jane will do the same for her, but jane did... there may be something here

And i agree... never would go for a boy who tried it with my best friend... or for that matter - any friend.
if u really like that girl, use your chnace to be with her, u will never know what will happen in future if u wont try urself =) so and i guess if u fancy her it worth trying...and her friend sarah..well, she wontsay anth if she wants not to lose her friend =)

heh, they're gonna talk and in the mean time you'll have to make up your mind which one to go for otherwise they'll both blow you out.
Haha, i want to shake your hand mate. Good one!

Oh, and for the record, all girl situations are tricky. It's just the way it is.

looks like they did talk. i spoke to a mutual friend. apparantly she reckons i should ask jane out when sober and maybe at the cinema tomorrow if i go. i think it'll be a bit odd for the first few weeks. i mean, pulling someone changes the dynamics of a frienship sort of, so i'm just gonna have to sit it out.

i think if they're mature girls then i'll have got away with it.

OR: If they really dont mind, I'd be pushing for a three-some!

Ah! Your cover is blown! Which one's Alix?
Wow, name confusion. Is Alix Jane?

Anyway. If you really care about Jane, speak to her in person telling her what happened with Sarah and how you feel about the whole situation. Make sure to tell her you were drunk and that you're not a player.

Good luck.
