Leave for the year, make sure you study, stop procrastinating and you'll do fine. Being honest with you, I know it sounds harsh but you deserved to fail as you said yourself you didn't study so it's your own fault. If you really want to do Medicine, pick up a new attitude cuz you won't get through A Levels with one like yours. Don't give up though, I'd advise you to take the rest of the year out, go to a new college/sixth form and start again in September. But instead of lazying around, do some work. Volunteer work will also help with your personal statement. Good luck.

If you reallly want to do Medicine there is a course for those with poor grades, forget what the course is called though. I know Southampton do it. Highly competitive though obviously.

Sensitive question but are you good enough to do medicine? Is it a case of not working hard enough or inability? Because UUE isnt that great But good luck, as the person above said stop procrastinating! I do it all the time ha!

Yes, you did deserve to fail. Start putting actual effort into A-Levels if you want to study a competitive course at university.

If you retake or go to a new college/sixth form, I hope this is a wake up call to put the work in. And with medicine it's so competitive the minimum grades probably won't seal the deal anyway.

I know a few people who are redoing their AS year and they seem reasonably happy with their choice. They are of course a bit annoyed they are doing the same stuff again but they enjoy it nonetheless. Besides it could be a chance for you to pick different options if you are now more clear about your future goals.

Ultimately it will only be worth it if you put in the right amount of effort, behave yourself and that sixth form will be useful with regards to your future aims. So basically only you can decide if it is worth it or not.

To do medicine, you should really be capable at doing A level Chemistry at grade A. Most people I know who are doing medicine also do A level Maths or Physics so thats worth thinking about.

If you are capable of getting AAA or AAB then I would resit a year, I know a UUU candidate who was clever but did no work, he did atually turn it around, and is getting As now. But this situation is rare, I know no one else who has managed to do this. If you think you can, I would try it.

I would reccomend you do Maths, Chemistry and Biology as opposed to psycology if you want to do medicine.

I would recommend you wake up from your dream world and get in touch with reality.
Less than 10% of A Level students get As and A*s, and even less make it into medicine. You won't get in. I'm sorry I have to tell you this, but you need the wake up call.

Even if you repeat in summer, you may not have the As you need. That means, that you'll have to repeat some modules next year. What happen if you repeat modules next year? Your predicted grades get sent, and I don't think that in your case those would look too promising.

What did you get for GCSE?
