Been reading the unemployment debate on this forum with great interest, and have also seen the news on the 'workers' marching against what's-his-name, and the righttowork website has a fantastic example of why some people will never, ever get a job.

Edit - they have moved it on the site

http://righttowork.org.uk/2011/03/50...ge-lib-dems-5/

When you click the image in that link it gives you a 404.

Not all jobs require mastery of the English language. Just because somebody has trouble with his or her spelling, it should not exclude him from the job market, and it is certainly not grounds for you to mock him.

Take a random sample of 100 jobseekers:

Eliminate those who are not looking for work at all
Eliminate those who are cautiously doing the least to remain on jsa
Eliminate those who are half-heartedly looking for work
Eliminate those who are not being proactive with jobseeking
Eliminate those who are looking for jobs beyoond their capacity

How many people does that leave?

If people cannot be mocked for being stupid, then what CAN they be mocked for?
Eliminating the ability to mock eliminates a vital part of the human culture.

I guess I would not of been eliminated then as I was on JSA back in 2009 before going to university.

Yes, I see the mistake now but it is rather idiotic to judge that someone is a failure just because they can't spot a "obvious" mistake.

Or then you could just be trolling.

Is this some kind of grammar nazi society? Yeah the guy with the sign is probably an idiot but that doesn't mean he shouldn't get a job. Yes it is fine to mock people about grammar on internet forums because it doesn't exactly hurt anyone! But people need to chill here, calling each other idiots etc.

Don't be stupid. It's the "Grammar Gestapo". Alliteration, duh.
