I am in the fortunate position of having two medical school offers, and I am slightly torn between the two. On the one hand there is the big city allure of London, but on the other the value for money and more 'traditional' student experience of sheffield.
Can anybody, give me any advice, pros and cons of each from your experience and give me good enough reason to choose one over the other?

    Cons for Barts
    - Area is [email protected]"**!'?
    - I've heard PBL at the start isn't very well organised
    - Expensive to live in (compared to sheffield)
    - Sheffields course seems better (IMO)

Both are fine medical schools (as are any). Makes no damned difference where you get your medical degree from (remember, UKFPO is blinded to your school) so just go where you think you'll have the best craic.

Sheffield has quite a significant PBL component (15-20%), so broadly there are a lot of similarities between the course there and the course at Barts. Sheffield just chooses to advertise it's 'traditional' half, while Barts chooses to advertise it's 'PBL' half.
