I am currently in year 11 and already have a GCSE grade A in English and B in Maths. I am hoping to push these grades up to A* in June.

My teachers say that your highest grade out of all your retakes count, so if (and i hope i wont) for some reason i do bad in my English exam in June and get a B, when i pick my final results up in July would it say the grade B result or the grade A result from before?

They take your highest. The only time they may give you a lower mark is if you get a remark and you actually lose marks. Good luck!

You get the highest. So don't worry. But make sure you still do well cos if you're thinking of going uni, they look at all your grades including your resits. Idk that's what I've heard..

Of course it will get an A grade. Didn't you just say your teachers said "the highest grade counts"?
