Ahaha nichts, nichts, ist einfach nur lustig: der Sven hat mir jedes Mal was über die Jungen aus Österreich erzählt, und ich wusste, dass du Magdalen besucht hast, deshalb als du das über Sven sagte, ists mir eingefallen- oha, das ist der aus Österreich :biggrin: Meine nichts schlimmes damit, keine Sorgen!

(Errr just me saying that it's really funny because Sven told me about him and I never put two and two together until now, pretty much.)

Die Sprache gefällt mir so sehr weil alles einfach Sinn macht. Sie hört sich wirklich schön an und im Bezug von der Grammatik (auf?), gibts immer was neues, zu entdecken. Mit den romantischen Sprachen wie Spanisch ists ein bisschen langweilig: zu unordentlich. Es nervt so, man muss Konjunktiv "fühlen" und man weiß nie genau, ob was richtig oder falsch ist.

Das Land? Naja. Bin ein echtes multikulturelles Kind ich fühle mich nie, als ob ich in England zu Hause wäre. Aber das erste Mal als ich in Deutschland angekommen war, fühlte ich mich plötzlich daheim. Die soziale Einstellungen in Deutschland sind wirklich anders als hier, und die Traditionen usw. gefallen mir auch. Kleine Dinge, zB wie man auf den grünen Mann beim Ampel wartet, und wie es überall kleine Eiscafes gibt...ist echt schön, das ganze Land ist echt schön. Die Menschen da sind auch immer so begeistert, wenn ein Auslander die Mühe gibt, gut Deutsch zu sprechen...nicht wie die faule Engländer!

Ich spreche lieber auf Deutsch als auf Englisch und denke lieber auf Deutsch als auf Englisch. Meine Kinder werden auf jeden Fall fließend Deutsch reden :biggrin:

Since you mentioned my exchange partner from Stuttgart, she sent me a lovely long email the other day talking about starting her degree in Ulm and it made me tear up because a) I can't believe she's at uni, we've been emailing for 4 years, b) I'm amazed she still thinks to email me even while starting uni, and c) ICH WILL AU WEG! :frown:

Let's start a different nation discussion. Who likes Malaysia? I like Malaysia. I like the mix of cultures and the food, and I like how while the politics is completely messed up it's messed up in a completely different way to British politics.
