I want to apply to do (pure) Mathematics at University. I will be applying in October, and I'm aiming fairly high (Cambridge being my 1st choice).

I'm a little stuck as to what I can do for extra-curricular activites though.

For example, scientist have a fair ammount of work expirience or summer schools; there are often science magazines at schools which they can edit or contribute to and so on.

But for maths, I can find nothing, except reading a pile of maths books... which I've been doing for a while anyway. (I do know about the UKMT summer schools... and I will not be able to attend another one before I apply).

If you have any suggestions, please could I hear them?

Extra-curricular activities really aren't that important on your application, especially for Maths - how you come across on your personal statement is far more crucial.

I don't know what you could do for a maths degree, but read what I mentioned in the other post about what to include in a Maths personal statement.
