Really sad news, hope he recovers quickly. I hear that it's a standard procedure but his recovery is far more important than his football at this point.

To be honest if you're going to get cancer I couldn't imagine a better position to be in.

He's young, extremely fit and has a multimillion pound enterprise heavily invested in his well being. It sucks but it would be a hell of a lot worse if he was on the dole.

Exactly. That's why they've spotted it so early. Which is lucky for him. I wish him all the best...

If only everyone with early stages of cancer could be spotted so early.

Apparantly the tumour is benign which is great news, the only risky part is the operation and as standardly as that is carried out, fingers crossed he should return to good health
