My student finance for next year has come through. I've got both a maintenence loan and a fairly hefty grant, so would rather borrow less. When I click 'Make changes to your 2011/12 application' it gives me the option to change my loan amount. Will I not get my grant any more if I deliberately decrease my loan? Thanks.

You can put £0 for loan if you want and still get the grant. Reducing the loan amount has no affect on the grant.

If your entirely positive yes... but remember if you don't need all the loan there is still life after uni where you may need a bit of money to get started and as repayment rates on student loans are generally a lot smaller than others it may be an idea to get a bit of money from student finance.
