Why is everyone panicking so much. Why don't you just wait until the universities get back to you, instead of coming on here every two minutes, having a heart attack when you see some one else has an offer, and congratulating said person when in fact you want to kill them. Have a little patience.
Because you congratulate someone on an offer this means you are 'panicing'?

    u mad?

I'm currently applying to universities for 2012 entry, but the minute I have confirmed IBM I will defer entry. They told me it's easy to do it this way round, whereas going from deferred to normal entry is difficult (if something went wrong).

My first choice would be a gap year, then my top choice university.

Sneaky, what if Cambridge says no to deferring your entry.

Playing devil's advocate, today, are we? :ninja:

I'd take Cambridge, but I can't imagine them saying no to deferring me before I've even interviewed.

Nah, just wondering what you'd do! But I mean after the interview if they did give you an offer, then you turned around and said...

" so erm... see you in 2013?"
    (college choice): -_- no.
