Fair enough! Although, for me personally as I probably won't get into Cambridge, If I recieve an LSE and UCL offer I'd take LSE. I'm willing to bite the bullet in terms of the atmosphere, Chinesefest and poor teaching (or so they say) for the LSE name.
Where else have you applied to, and any offers?

You have achieved 4 A*'s ? Me too, but I haven't got an LSE offer, they must have liked your PS.
What are you doing in this gap year may I ask ?

Yeah I'm still itching for an offer at all

Interview was OK, could have gone better, could have gone worse. Not hopeful but just have to wait and see, how was yours?

Warwick econ is pretty slick, 4th according to the complete uni guide, and will put you in good stead, not sure if it would be worth reapplying... What are you thinking of doing in the future out of interest?
I know Warwick is a great econ uni, and when I went round I really liked it, both the university and the department but I fell in love with Oxford while I was there. That said however, I suppose that I could always apply for post grad at Ox, I know quite a few people get in from lesser universities than Warwick so that looks like a good option. In any case I would only reapply if I got 4A*s and didn't get LSE either.

I'm thinking of investment banking or possibly academia; I would love to do a Phd, although that decision is a few years off.

    Where have you applied?

I feel exactly the same. Knowing that we could have done better makes us feel bad isn't it?

Feel the same about my interview. Test was good, first interview was OK, second I can't tell but I'm not optimistic. Feeling like I might have to get 4A*'s and take a gap year atm with no offers!

to those who are planning on getting 4A*'s and then going on a gap year, that is exactly what I am currently doing and so far I have one offer from Bath . UCL/LSE/War haven't given me a response, and waiting for Cam to reply early Jan and I think my PS is quite strong as well.

I'm probably going to have to do this since my GCSE's are relatively poor. Despite having achieved an A* in Maths already and being predicted A*A*A* in Further Maths, Economics and Biology I haven't received any offers yet. I'm pretty sure I can get 4A* and I think I might have to take a gap year as I really want to go to a top uni and I'm not hopeful atm!

Also, can I ask what your GCSE's were? I don't know if it matters that much after achieving 4A*'s. I'm sure the offers will come just give it time.

Hmm, well I got 5 rejections last year, and have now reapplied with 4A*'s and got an unconditional from Bath . Although I have to say that my PS was quite weak last year and I think it has significantly improved this year.

Quick question to all those considering a gap year, if you get 3/4A*s and a warwick offer, would you take it or apply again hoping for oxbridge?

P.s. I dont have an warwick offer, but am just curious....
