Yeah you don't choose your hall(catered). I did my accom app last week and you choose location (university park, broadgate park etc) then room types.

Out of curiosity; why Florence Boot? I obviously don't know where I'm going to be yet but it'd be nice to know if I'm in a good building or not

I know on the open day my guide (who went to Florence Boot) said that she liked it because of its "tight knit feel" and its smaller pub also because it wasn't as noisy as some other halls can be.

The billionth time now: YOU CANNOT CHOOSE YOUR OWN HALL!!!

They will allocate in random order. This is what it used to be a few years ago. They only offered you to pick your own choice for a few years, but this year its back to the original way.

All the halls are pretty much the same, differences are exaggerated due to banter.

    You have 3-5 preferences.
For each preference, you choose where e.g. university park, broadgate, raleigh etc
Then you choose room type e.g. single study, ensuite etc

You choose catered halls by selecting university park campus. Likewise you choose self-catered by picking broadgate or one of the others (don't know them all)

The earlier you apply, the more likely you are to get your top preference

    Hope that's some help
