Currently the UK is in £4 trillion or (£4,000,000,000,000) debt. Since coming into power Mr Cameron has been taking evasive measures to counter the debt this might be our godsend.

You might of noticed the new Olympic 50p coins are now on sale.

Now this is the cleaver part. Its a 50p coin being sold for £2.99 absolutely genious. thats £2.49 profit per 50p coin!

Now if we divide this profit by the debt we can see how many coins need to be sold.

    1.6064257×10^12 or 1 606 425 700 000

Now we can just sell that many coins and be out of debt.

I think Mr Cameron was influenced by Jack Wills with this tactic of getting something ordinary, changing the appearance slightly and giving it a new title but at the same time charging you 5 times more in the process.

There's a huge obstacle to this plan, but if only I could think of it.

Where has this £4 trillion figure come from?

They do this every year with every coinset. I used to work at the post office, and its shocking the amount that people spend on commemorative coins (I had one tourist spend £150 on coins and stamps in one go). Its funny though, the week later you normally have their son/daughter/whoever got the present trying to cash it in. I wouldn't be suprised if many commemorative coins got pulled out the pack and put into circulation!

He's including the government's pension liabilities into the debt, which I think is a bit silly.

Is the 50p coin even legal tender?
