Ok, so I know it's really late in the year to apply for anything at all so my options will be limited. But I have been in Ghana teaching from Sept - Jan so hoping this might be at least a little bit useful.

Now, though, I have to decide if I want to apply for primary or secondary. I have done my 2 weeks in primary (year 2 and year 6) and loved it, but I also love my subject (RS) and would like to carry on learning and teaching that properly at the higher level.

I could do a middle school RS PGCE which would give QTS for years 3 - 9 which potentially could be perfect, but worried I might be shooting myself in the foot as only half the placements would be in each, so I would have a disadvantage in both against other NQTs when applying for my first job, as well as being (initially) limited to lower secondary school, if I go for that.

I like the broad spectrum of primary and getting to know one class really well, but I also like the big school atmosphere of secondary and teaching at a higher level (but not so sure about the marking after having taught classes of 60+ in the Ghanaian Senior High School!!!)

    Thoughts??
