    Guys

Thoughts needed on a girl I know who has been in a relationship with a white guy and she's been parading it on facebook lots of pics etc is it a problem that she now thinks she's too good for her coloured family in fact she doesn't have anything to do with them (there not good enough or fit into her new world??!!)

    what do you think?

I think your reading way too much into this, perhaps shes happy that she has finally found someone to connect with, who sees more than a persons skin colour.

Maybe her family just piss her off? Why does it have to be about race?

What makes you think she doesnt want anything to do with her family. Are you perhaps just making assumptions?

Such things happen irrespective of the colour.

Why are you making this about race? :curious: There are hundreds of reasons why she could have less to do with them, such as she's just entered a relationship and is focused on her boyfriend, she's doing her own thing, they might just annoy her etc...

    When I born, I Black,
When I grow up, I Black,
When I go in Sun, I Black,
    When I scared, I Black,
    When I sick, I Black,
And when I die, I still black...

    And you White fellow,
    When you born, you pink,
When you grow up, you White,
When you go in Sun, you Red,
    When you cold, you blue,
    When you scared, you yellow,
    When you sick, you Green,
And when you die, you Gray...
    And you calling me colored??

Black people use grammar incorrectly? Is that the moral?

Haha, I remember seeing this poem years ago on Piczo. It's so true though; I never really got why some people call black people "coloured" - white people are coloured too, just a lighter colour :dontknow:. In fact, when I was little, I used to call black people "brown", and white people "peachy-coloured".

OP, what makes you think race has anything to do with it?

Oh how easy it is to be contraversial on the internet.

Guess what? Many poems don't even have full stops! Bet that rocks your grammar world. Idiot.

That doesn't really answer the question. There could be numerous reasons other than race for this. Perhaps she just doesn't want to introduce her boyfriend to her family because she feels it's too early in the relationship, or she wants to keep the separate areas of her life separate, or whatever.

This. I have few 'friends' like the OP who seemed to think any girl involved with a white guy thinks she's too good for her own race

OP, leave the girl alone and get your own life
