Number of exam sessions and period of study needed to complete your A levels? watch

    • Thread Starter

So I was just wondering, how long everyone typically studies each unit before sitting for the exam and how many exam sessions you personally took (or plan to take) to complete all your A level subjects?

For example, it is typical in our country for a person with 4 science subjects (24 units in total) to give their AS (12 units) in one session after 6 months studying (after grade 11) and the their A2 (12 units) in another session after 1 years studying (around end of grade 12).

Normally you do 1 year studying your AS Levels (studying 4 subjects), and then a further year studying your A2's (dropping one subject to get 3 A Levels).

And all exams are modular, so you do (normally) do one module per subject in January, and then do the further two modules in June (plus any re-sits).
