Just quite curious really. What are some situations where complex numbers are used in an engineering context?

I'm not an engineer, but this is a pretty interesting read: http://www.math.toronto.edu/mathnet/...lexinlife.html

I'm also no engineer, but electronics (e.g. AC circuits) and electromagnetism are the most obvious examples in my mind.
