Does anyone know what a pretest is and what to write?

I'm doing my coursework on Investigating how Hydrochloric Acid reacts with Calcium Carbonate and I've just got to write up a pretest now and I'm done. But I don't know what the deal is, how do I set it out? You don't have to tell me exactly what to write, but what it actually is :tongue:
It's the test you do before you do the proper practical. So you need to write up your method, the things that went wrong and then the things you're going to improve as a result of doing the pretest.
