Hi, I am only finishing off my UCAS online application now, and will send it by Thursday.... I am applying to 5 Universities for BOptometry(Hons), I am very worried that I left it very late. Uni's are sending offers out already, will they have any places left...? I thought they waited until 15th Jan and only send offers out then... stupid me.
How long does it take for UCAS to send the application to the Univ's? Does it stay with them for very long?
Are there any other people also only applying now....?

Thanks for your help. Wish I discovered these boards earlier!

    Don't panic.

Many ppl haven't applied yet (TSR is not representative). There should be no problem.

    Indeed, take it easy.

TSR is a bit odd with things like this, the way people are impatient they haven't had 6 offers yet and the like.

    Good luck!

I only applied last week and plenty of people in my yr haven't applied so I wouldn't panic! At least yours is on its way to being finished....some people are nowhere near being able to send it!

I'm being impatient now cos I want offers but there you go!!

I was going to post something similar today - mine is going any day now and I have been on 'fret overdrive' - unfortunately our HM was away in Singapore and Hong Kong etc. On a promotional tour and has only just come back. What a time to go away!!

Anyway, I'm hoping it isn't too late and I'll get some offers.

It's perfectly fine to send in your application now. Some say that your chances of admission marginally decrease as each day passes, but I believe this is only true for very competitive universities/courses. Even so, if you're truly brilliant material, you won't have a problem receiving an offer.

p.s. Nice to see someone on TSR from Fiji!

I've been worried about that too. :-/ I wrote my personal statement ages ago but my teacher hasn't even wrote my reference yet! It's hard cause I only go to College part-time so I don't get much time to talk with him. Hopefully by next week it should get sent off.
