A lesson to avoid sugary drinks

I have always had a sweet tooth and loved coca-cola and all the other fizzy crap. Today the dentist told me my front teeth might have to come out pending the results of the x-ray. It might not come to that but either way my front teeth will need a lot of work doing to them.

So please think twice before you have that fizzy crap. The diet stuff is not much better for your teeth and has other health implications as well.

We could never afford fizzy drinks when I was little (*violins*) but as a consequence I have no fillings. Hurrah!

Also, taking in too much sugar is soooo bad for your body. Ask Daveo!

I had to have my 4 corner teeth out, 1 from each corner.
Main reason was too much coke and too many sweeties. fizzy drinks really are bad for you, now i mainly drink water - a much healthier idea

Not to mention the fact that a childhood of sugar abuse could quite easily turn into a bigger problem when you get a bit older. Diabetes is getting commoner in younger people, mainly because young people nowadays are abusing sugar in fizzy drinks and sweets and diabetes is something i sure as hell want to avoid if i can so before you crack open your next can just think about the possible future health problems.

I've fallen in love with diet coke with lemon, guess I'll just have to fall out of love :frown:
My friend only ever drinks coke, i keep trying to convince her that it's bad for her but she's convinced that's it's not especially as the dentist always praises the condition of her teeth. Any ideas as to how to convince that coke is actually NOT GOOD FOR YOU!?

But it tastes like they've put washing up liquid in it... ick ick ick!
I was so shocked when the other day, when I said that I had to go to the dentist for a checkup, my friends all looked at me like I was mad. "You actually go to the dentist... just for a checkup?" shrieked one.

Am I the only person that goes to the dentist every 6 months? I've never had a filling and my wisdom teeth are coming through perfectly straight and lovely, so no ops needed to remove them... I just can't see the point of NOT going really!

Also, yeah - noo, don't drink coke or any other fizzy sugary drinks. Water's best  or fruit juice, but even then, don't drink heaps of that 'cause it'll mess them up lol.
Oh dear..I have to go to the dentist on Friday. It will be hellish because I know I will get told I need to have fillings because I was told that in April but then my appointment kept getting cancelled and then the dentist left and now I have waited for two months for this appointment with a new one..So oh dear I don't even want to think about what those teeth will be like now!!!
different?

Get a tooth from somewhere (I don't know where, but hey lol) and tell her to leave it in a cup of coke overnight... when she sees it's practically disolved the next morning she may think twice... lol.

.

I also go every 6 months, but unlike you I don't see the point. I open my mouth, he says "mmm lovely" and I'm back out the door in less than 2 minutes.

Oh yeah, me too - but that's only 'cause there's sod all wrong with your/my teeth. Be pleased about that, lol - would you rather be in there all day whilst he goes "yes, a filling in that one, that one, that one and a root canal there"? 'cause you've not seen in him 7 years (like what happened to my friend!) the only reason you're in and out in 2 minutes is 'cause they're alright  which has gotta be a good thing lol.
