I also go every 6 months, but unlike you I don't see the point. I open my mouth, he says "mmm lovely" and I'm back out the door in less than 2 minutes.
I do try to go every six months, but my dentist always cancels my appointments.

I think this is about as toothy as my photos get!
Bad example on the right "eating" pudsey (I didn't in the end) but that night I was dressed as the tooth fairy

I havent gone to the dentist in aaages im really scared actually now because I've recently (last year when I started uni) developed SUCH a sweet tooth! And oh dear yes this is not good I dont think.
The main thing thats stopping me is that I'm worried its going to be really expensive.. How much do they charge for a check up? I'm 19 and still a student but I dont think I can get it free on the NHS any more boohoo...

The dentist didn't tell me off or anything but she did ask if I drank fizzy drinks. I think a lot of dentist realise now that if they are patronising and tell people off they will be too scared to go back.

This was one very nice, but she suggested she did a minor filling without any local injections to see how I got on .

I am quite excited about the prospect of having my teeth put right. They have dented my confidence for as long as I can remember.

I used to have the attitude of my teeth were a mess so bit more coke can't do any harm. I realise that was not the case now.

Once they are all fixed I will certainly not drink so much crap apart from the odd bit of fruit juice. I am just going to have to be very brave for the treatment.

Thats why I never went when I was a student, I know you can get it free if you're a student but it seemed so much hassle and the procedure seemed very complicated.

I only eat sweets, coke, sugary foods... I really need to start to take care of myself. Last time I visited the dentist she said my teeth were perfect. But I did have numerous fillings when I was younger, all of which were in baby teeth so have since fallen out! Now I have just one filling, but it is white so I don't know what tooth it is in!!!

The dentist always says my teeth are pretty pro...I have had to have a few white fillings in my time but nothing bad. I only ever drink coke with vodka or bacardi. It tastes mingin on its own! I just make sure I brush my teeth for extra long when I get home or when I wake up (depending on how drunk I am)!

We could never afford fizzy drinks when I was little (*violins*) but as a consequence I have no fillings. Hurrah!

Also, taking in too much sugar is soooo bad for your body. Ask Daveo!
I only have coke about once a week and I have no fillings either.

You can fill in a HC1 (or is it HC2) thats free prescription charges but they'll also often give you money off dentistry

You're just lucky, some people drink really healthy stuff and still have bad teeth.

Mine are bad due a mixture of luck and sugary drinks.

Its just genetics some people are born with stronger teeth than others just like defense genes.

I got told by my dentist (to scare into not getting coke every week, and it worked!) that drinking fizzy drinks is really bad, its like coating ur teeth in acid and if you drink coke, it's like coating them twice!!!!
