Actually I live in a nice middle class market town in a relatively big house, it's OK, but I'm well aware of how most British people live.
In which case I can only conclude you gather most of your information about how the rest of British society functions from that well known contemporary sociological journal, The Daily Mail.

If objective means "the one with the best stats" why is this question up for discussions?
Well Germany has the highest kill/death ratio :teehee:

Oh please, I hate that rag, the media here is part of the problem. I'm actually very "left wing" in a lot of respects. I've lived in other places, also the elements that I'm talking about also exist here to a large extent even though hardly anyone could be described as poor, an inner city council estate must be hell. But if you are going to ignore our societal decline, you must wear some serious rose tinted glasses.

You've never actually lived in an inner city council estate. I have. Hence I know what I'm talking about, and you don't. You're about as "left wing" as Thatcher ya big troll.

The United States. It depends which state though, but in general the houses there are very impressive for what is paid for, they have spacious neighbourhood areas, generally a friendly and "can do" attitude, amazing shopping malls, bars and restaurant outlets and good educational and learning benefits.

The social elements I refer to are ubiquitous and visible, I've worked as a bartender in quite a few places in the UK and believe the true horror of British social fabric can be observed in it's purest form when you are sober waking through town on a Friday night - People are throwing bottles, police cars patrol the streets, pools of vomit, urine and discarded kebab wrappers litter the pavements, fat girls in miniskirts stagger around swearing filthily and drinking cheap wine out of the bottle, gangs of men roam around looking for the smallest opportunity to start a fight. Even worse is being in the Costa Del Sol when thousands of overweight, shaven-headed Brits are there for a fortnight of boozing and carcinogenic sunbathing. It's one of the most odious sites you will ever see, it's modern British culture.

And please explain how thinking Britain is crap makes me right wing? Thatcher is part of the many reasons why Britain is ****.

You don't actually have a point at all, you're just an extremely unpleasant snob.

I don't think you know who "most British people" are... And that seems quite demeaning and offensive, a bit of a generalisation there.

So you like living in a human toilet? I woudn't be considered a snob in any other Western country, ask the inhabitants of southern Spain how they feel about the British. You've done little to refute the fact that the the lifestye here is crap.

And I think it's ironic you are accusing me of being unpleasent when earlier you were airing your utterly ignorant veiws about Scandinavia.

UK, NZ and Aus. They play cricket, are fairly secular, fairly safe, modern economies, fairly progressive, multicultural .etc.

The USA has too many flaws, great as it is :moon:
Only problem with NZ and Aus is that they are pretty susceptible to natural disasters. And I don't just say that because of recent events. Both have a fairly long history of disasters. Saying that, i reckon living in NZ would be awesome. Great cricket, lovely weather (most of the time) and they have fish and chips

You're obviously a troll. No-one can actually be as unpleasantly right wing as you without being a member of the Daily Mail editorial staff. I don't debate with trolls. Don't ever quote me again. Thanks.

Again, explain how I am right wing please? I'm a socialist. I bet you think Labour are left wing.

Having lived in 4 different countries, I would say that Britain is the best out of all of them. I am not saying that because this is a british based forum or anything. I would describe it as the kid who is good at all sports, master at none. This is good because in every aspect it is good, with no real disadvantages. It has a good standard of living, nhs (This is good to me, some people may disagree), technologically advanced, good housing, good jobs, good cities, decent nightlife, good education, decent beaches, etc.
Other countries are good as well, and are better in some ways but also worse in others.
As well as the currency being (still) very valuable, so when you may visit other countries your pound goes a lot further. Unfortuently its close to the euro now so its not as good as it once was.

But as with all of the EU - you are free to work and live in any other country. So obviously all eu members have this advantage over others.
