A Detroit woman is suing film distributor Film District because she went to see Drive, and left angry because she thought it would be more like The Fast and the Furious.

Oh lord. If you're expecting The Fast and the Furious and you get Drive, the only proper response is to be grateful.

And why on earth is it anti-semitic? As there's no actual, overt anti-semitism that I can remember or even anything that can be gleaned from overanalysis, I'm forced to conclude it's just because there are Jewish gangsters in the film (who aren't caricatures and *are* well-rounded, discernibly human characters). Guess Godfather II, The Great Gatsby and LA Noire probably qualify as well. :facepalm2:

I'm good my friend just really busy these days, how are you doing ?
    Knee deep in work.

Watched any films recently? Last time you were here, you were contemplating watching either Memento or The Butterfly Effect.

Reading the names of all these unwatched movies and going :ninja:

Anyway, I watched an Israeli film called Broken Wings last night, and thought it was good (particularly the script), even though the acting seemed a bit bland to me (except that of Orly Silbersatz Banai, who was very good).

aja I literally don't believe you haven't seen Inception or the dark knight : p

but yeah there are a few oldies I've never seen either, sci-fi flicks like Logans run, Bladerunner, ah well

on a random note, Jumper was arguably pretty crap, but I'd still really like to see a (good, quality) sequel to it

I worked on The Dark Knight. Made me chuckle when Mr Nolan was giving press interviews and talking about how many of the effects were real. We did almost 690 visual effects shots for that film

Shia LaBeouf cannot act. He cannot work well with others. He cannot promote films. Why does he keep getting employed?
