Tacking and 'ticking' what films you have seen has actually started to get me obsessed with films and I have been watching a lot lately.
Indeed! It makes me realise how many movies that I've heard of but haven't seen. Hopefully there might be some good ones on over Christmas.

Has anyone heard of Margaret? It was directed by Kenneth Lonergan, stars Anna Paquin, Matt Damon, Matthew Broderick and Mark Ruffalo, finished production about six years ago, and is just being released in a limited fashion. The few critics who have seen it are saying it's incredible, but there's some trouble with the Studio (Fox), and they're not giving it much publicity or promotion at all. There's a more detailed report of the whole thing here.
Very strange  Hopefully the problems will be sorted out soon.

It's showing at a cinema (Odeon - grumble grumble, can't win them all) about ten minutes from my house. Just bought a ticket!

Ah I see. That sounds like a really good idea, I'd love to take part if it was to happen. But say I was already signed up to one of those sites - would I make a new account and just add the films I saw in that year?
We didn't discuss any specific details.

But I guess either approach (old account or new account) could work out without any problem.

I noticed that showing at the Panton Street Odeon yesterday when I was looking at listings for The Ides of March. Maybe I'll give it a look.

Speaking of Panton Street (which is Odeon's outlet for lower-profile films) does anyone know anything about Snowtown, The Awakening or Resistance? They all look interesting.

I recorded Erin Brockovich last night to watch sometime soon - is it any good? Also, what exactly earned it a 15 rating? The TV guide said it has swearing, but I need to know if it would be appropriate or not to watch without headphones (family being around etc)

EDIT: Hmm... looks like headphones it is!

Peter Bradshaw of The Guardian seemed to rate Snowtown very highly; I was looking forward to watching it. :yep:

Well yes, without massively censoring certain sections there's not a chance in hell it could be anything less.
The Swedish version of Girl with Dragon Tattoo was only rated 15+ in my country (uncensored) :mmm:

I have most of them on DVD, but I will definitely watch the ones I haven't seen.
