Gonna start my annual Harry Potter marathon tonight. Was meant to read all of the books first (haven't read them before) but got bored halfway through the second and started reading some other stuff so never got back to it. Annual LoTR marathon to follow :holmes:
Arnold Schwarzenegger is back! Can I pull off terminator marathon? 1,2 and 4:grin:

That's interesting. Do you have any other film-related rituals?

Personally, I'd stick to the first two parts. :p:

I'm not much of a marathon person anyway. :getmecoat:

Nah, just those two. They've been a part of my childhood for a long time so I like watching them every year :p:

Aww, poor T3. Have you seen the Terminator TV series? Better than T3 and T4 imo though still not in the same league as the first 2 films.

Lol I actually did watch the TV show, as a matter of fact. I Liked it and I thought the main girl did a great job and I cried me a river when they announced they could no longer continue:frown: I forget to include T3:colondollar: . Of course, I will be watching all of the terminator films :u:

Doing my weekly Trainspotting viewing got me thinking, does anyone want to see a sequel to the best British film of all time (i.e. Porno)? And has anyone seen a sequel that has actively put them off rewatching the original?

Damn, just joined Netflix again after 2/3 months and it pretty much has all the same films, come on man :colonhash:
UK Netflix is pretty ****ing **** for films.

Yes, and apparently it is getting made.

In a year where so many highly anticipated films have received mixed reviews, Dredd (Judge Dredd) has a 100% rating on RT based on 28 reviews so far. That was unexpected. I'm considering giving it a watch now.

The problem Dredd has (which isn't it's own fault) is that it's basically the same as The Raid, which I hear does it much better.

There aren't very many decent films on there, but some of the documentaries and TV shows are worthwhile.

I keep meaning to cancel my subscription after I got the first month free but the new season of Arrested Development is a Netflix exclusive so might wait until that's out!

Interesting, I'd completely forgotten about it. :beard: I haven't watched the original or anything, is this the kind of film that requires some prior research/reading?

Anyhow, someone made a spontaneous plan to go and see Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter today, and my intake of films in the past month had been so limited that I thought 'Why not?' Pretty much regretting it now. :colonhash:

On a more positive note, I watched Kramer vs Kramer for the first time a couple of days ago, and liked it. :yep:

Nope, I don't think so. There's whole comic book series around him but it's the kind of film you can just up and watch since they've made it so they can introduce the character to the audience, as if for the first time.

I watched Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter too. Awful film. They could have taken Churchill and still produced the same film. :facepalm2:

Just watched Take Me Home Tonight, wasn't very good and I can't stand Anna Faris for some reason, find her annoying. Best things about the film are the soundtrack (80s soundtracks are the best) and Teresa Palmer who is ****ing gorgeous.

Anyone seen 'Midnight In Paris'? Outstanding film for me! Thought it might not be that great, but the acting, atmosphere and subtle wit just make it into a really enjoyable film!

Watched both Super 8 and The Happening this morning. Don't think I have ever seen two worse films in my life. Plot holes galore and (especially in The Happening) terrible, terrible acting.
Midnight in Paris is a quality film. Makes me look forward to the new Woody Allen set in Rome.
