You mean those twins that already as kids made a brand of themselves and earned millions?
That's them, yes. (I hope you're not suggesting that earning millions is a mark of quality!)

I'd never heard of that, but watched the trailer and it looks great. Thanks for the tip! (+repped)

Yea, I was watching the remake of I spit on your Grave and it kind of popped up as similar/also watched kind of thing.

And well no, not a sign of quality, but my point was they behave in a certain way because of it. I don't really know much about them, but I'm sure that being so much in the spotlight so young can change you?

Those Skyfall reviews have made me really excited for it. Quantum of Solace was a ****fest after Casino Royale (which I adored).

Kermode said Taken 2 is the worst film he's seen this year.
He's either doing his usual exaggerating or he hasn't seen Underworld: Awakening, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, Battleship or Wrath of the Titans. But yeah, it is a terrible film. It's another 'Hangover': a one trick pony where the first film was good but the sequel was unnecessary.

Happy joint Birthday Ape! I almost forgot
One of the only times where I can respond with 'you too'. Thanks.

Yes, I don't doubt you're right. Elizabeth is lucky that she was at least allowed a childhood before becoming an actor. And she is seriously good!

Casino Royale was really excellent and a really pleasant surprise after all those daft Bond films (I gave up at the Timothy Dalton stage, I must say as they became increasingly silly and self-parodying). Can't say I was crazy about QoS though, so I am not really getting my hopes up about Skyfall :dontknow:

Saw the original Dredd! MUCH better film than the new one! The new one seemed to be a copy of this chinese (?) movie I saw

Taken 2 was really **** like. Gutted.

    Spoiler:
    Show
It's so ****ing cheesy, so 'Americanised' urghhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Plus it's so retarded it's beyond belief - Casually tossing grenades like it's nothing, the dad leaving the mum on her own in that basement, them not killing the mother straight away, letting him finish his phone call when they've got a gun pointed to him, the daughter stealing clothes rather than just go back to her room, daughter NOT EVEN PASSING her driving test yet she can perform complex maneuvers under massive pressure in a ****ty taxi no problem at all :facepalm2:
The plot looked **** when it was revealed, who gives a **** about the no-name henchmen he killed honestly?
The daughter's boyfriend had no purpose in this film whatsoever.

Just watched "Atmen" (breathing). A strange piece of work. Very understated and a bit bleak, but leaves you feeling quite intrigued.

Films on my list to see next: Killer Joe, Barbara, Savages, Looper, Lawless, Holy Motors, The Imposter, Killing them Softly, Shadow Dancer, Samsara

That was a quality arcade game. The film looks mildly interesting as well.

Star Trek II: Wrath of Kahn - not only the best Star Trek film, but arguably the best Sci Fi film, and a great film regardless of genre.

Is this a controversial opinion? I watched it for the first time in years a couple of weeks ago, and had an urge to watch it again so I did last night. I genuinely think it's got everything. Overlooked perhaps because it's a Star Trek movie...

    Thoughts?

I've heard much acclaim for it. Is it accessible for people who have never watched Star Trek - or only watched the 2008 film? :holmes:

I think so. I was a big Next Generation fan, and had seen the 2009 movie but never the Original Series when I first watched it, so didn't know a huge amount about the characters, but still loved it.

If you know the absolute basics, which you should if you've seen JJ Abrams Trek, then it should be pretty straightforward. It also has William Shatner's greatest acting moment of all time (which will become obvious if and when you see it)

It's on the US Netflix if you have access to that...

Enjoy Looper! I saw it yesterday and enjoyed it, but felt like I needed a little bit more.

    Looper spoiler:

    Spoiler:

I wanted more Inception and less Terminator 2 I think..

I'm always attracted to films like this that I know are going to be pretentious, and then go and sit in the cinema and get angry because of the pretentiousness. I think it's a form of self harm.
