I'm talking about in a regulated environment like a regulated amsterdam brothel or an escort? considering the fact that in a lot of western countries like USA and Australia and UK 1 in 6 men have paid for sex this way at least once in their life, maybe even as many as 1 in 5. Now I know theres lots of social stigmas surrounding this, so im just wondering what the difference between males and females finding it acceptable

Well, it's pretty desperate let's be honest. I really can't understand why a man wants to have sex with a woman who is only doing it because of the money. And remember that in some brothels the women are forced to sell themselves, and women on the streets may be doing it because of drug problems or something similar. It's all so sad tbh.

Providing everyone is consenting I really don't see the problem with it.

As long as money remains to be a necessity, and as long as humans remain to have a sex drive, prostitution will be around.

The real problems with it arise purely because the laws in most countries are so ****ing ridiculous.

Anyone that argues otherwise can take their retarded opinions with them and jump off a bridge.

If you want to do it, do it.

So long as both parties involved are fully consenting, I really don't see what the fuss is.

acceptable. there are so many people who would never find a sex partner but who do have the right to feel bodily pleasures, too. disabled people for example.

what about people who are really shy and insee so that they would never dare approaching a girl? ot people who are just ugly? don´t they have the right to feel that kind of fun, too? what about having a fetish you want to try out but your gf refuses? what to do? and good sex is worth money.

that is why I think it is ok to pay for it.

This is not my attitude towards relationship. I only mean sex as a business. I would slap my bf if he would offer me money for sex.

I don't see any problem with it personally if it takes place in the regulated environments which you have specified. The way I see it, as a society we are incessantly purchasing services and products for the sole reason of bringing pleasure to the beholder, things from a computer game to a book to extravagant food to a massage. Some of the idealists and theists amongst you may say that sex should only be practised in a loving relationship and/or for reproduction, however on one of its most basic levels, sex is for pleasure and enjoyment; hence, I see the purchase of it as no different to the acquiring of any other 'luxury' items or services.

Just to note, I'm by no means rubbishing the views of any religious users and I fully respect and understand your attitudes towards it. I merely do not agree personally.

In a purely simple situation : If people are happy to sell sex, and others are happy to pay for it, then thats their choice and as long as it doesn't hurt others then its all fine in my opinion.

it's seen as normal to pay with your emotions and but paying with money is not smiled upon, unless you do it by spending money to take her out so you can get laid

All men "pay" for it one way or another. In many ways, straight forward transactional sex is far more honest than the alternatives.

I don't agree with making prostitution illegal. I know that it is a way of exploiting women, and a lot of it is a tough industry, but it is sex- if two people want to engage in that, then why not? It's not doing me any harm? They are usually discreet and they keep themselves to themselves ( in a way!).

I know boys at my school watch porn and they pay for it, and they enjoy it, I'm sure these pornstars all get paid too, yet they haven't made porn illegal? ( Or have they?) I don't know! Either way, I feel that it's not doing anybody any harm and therefore isn't my place to say whether or not it should be made illegal.

I would't do it personally but I would rather see a regulated system than what we have now

It's going to happen even if it was illegal.

It should be with consent, regulated, health checked and taxed.

Well, I don't personally find it acceptable, but it's a lot better then using rape to get sex, so I don't completely disagree... I just think that, sex should be done with someone you like, and well, like someone said above, a lot of these prostitutes have problems, why would you want to give trouble or cross them in the first place...
