I've applied for universities which are all in travelling distance from me so I probably won't live on campus. But I heard that living on campus at a university can give a big boost to your social life and basically has much more pros than cons - is this true? Is it possible to enjoy university life to the full while living at home?

Yes I sort of regret living at home. Sure you save money and stuff, but you miss out on the social side which I really needed because I am a social retard. I guess if you make an effort and are very sociable then it won't be so bad, but that wasn't the case for me. I would recommend living on campus.

well I'm socially retarded too, which is why I was concerned, but i mean what is it that i would actually miss out on ? clubs? parties? or just good times? Did friends of yours who lived on campus just seem to to be more happy ?
