So he drags her through one of the most gloomy and depressing cities in the world to visit in the rain (as voted on by international tourists) in the middle of the night where they could be mugged or raped and proposes.

    Romantic.

Me, too. I got three proposals and denied each time. why are men that stupid sometimes. they can´t ask a woman to marry them if she does not want to marry. maybe one should ask for a general interest in that beforehand. the proposals I got were cheesy or uncreative.

first one was on a balcony while the fireworks of new year´s eve. I hardly understodd him and rather wanted to watch the fireworks. hard to refuse in situations like that.

second one was when I found a ring in my drink and a rose on my plate in a restaurant. this was really weird.

third one was not even a real proposal. one day he decided to buy some rings. he asked me if I wish to have a ring. I said yes. But I did not know that he meant these rings... he came back to show me and I felt like shouting at him for not asking me beforehand, too. I am not his wife when we live together. he did not understand that and we broke up, too.

I don´t want anybody to ask me again. would make me laugh in these days and I am too old to start planning.
