This may seem like a stupid question but how do you know how many total tickets there are. These kind of questions get me all the time. The difference is 99 so thats how many there are in between. Include 2 and 101. That gives a total of 101 incomes but the mark scheme says its out of 100. Can anyone explain.

Also, How do I know how many even numbers there are between 2 and 101 without counting each separately.

    Thanks in advance

Its out of 100 because you have taken a ticket out of the hat so that means 101-1=100

There are a total of 50 even numbers from 1-100

    which means 50/100=1/2

    I think thats the answer

If you have 4 balls, one red, one green, one yellow and one blue and are asked to work out the probability of picking a red, are you trying to tell me it will be 1/3 because a ball is being taken out. Thought not. Please don't post wrong information.
