So basically am meeting some friends today in London, where can we go that is good, has good restaurants, places to eat, cinema etc,

We don't want to go to:

    Westfields
    Soho
    Tottenham Court Rd/Oxford St
    Leicester Sq

As we all work and go to those places all the time. So anyone know any gems?

Southbank is a good shout, you've got some awesome restaurants and the namco arcade there. The vibe there in the summer is awesome too, one of my favourite places to just chill with friends in the summer!

Islington and Camden were great for getting lunch when I last went to London.

Upper Street in Islington? Or Camden. Both have decent restaurants and cinemas nearby
