How do the employers verify that every little detail in a CV is correct?

Your reference and your qualification certificates.

    references, qualifications, interview...they WILL ask.
wouldn't want to lose out on a job i wanted cos i made up some stupid lie in my CV out of desperation
would rather just do some extra stuff to put on there.
quite proud of mine XD lol.

They may ring up contacts of your previous employers/workplace, and ask if someone with your name had worked there. Then again they often don't bother, but i always put the truth on my CV

In my experience, they will often just ask questions about your CV during the interview.

As long as the answers seem reasonable and you show confidence when answering them, they probably won't find out.

That said, if they did decide to check with your referee's then you'll be screwed.
Do you agree with the PM's proposal to cut tuition fees for some courses?
