Help! Is there any other way of saying 'within these texts'?

Ok, I have just noticed that I have used the word 'within' in my essay close to a million times! So I was wondering is there any other way of saying 'within both texts...'? I don't particularly want to name the texts more than I have to by the way, because the titles are quite long and count towards my word count :/

you could say a theme is common to both texts or that the sentiments of author x are shared by author y

the basis of these texts
