Is that "Engineering With Business Management" or just "Engineering Business Management" at Warwick?

If you're interested in outer space then Southampton is good for that. It also depends on whether you want to do mechanical or aeronautical engineering.

**** the lot and go to strathclyde :ninja:

Lol honestly they are all very good institutions and if you get a degree from any, you wont regret it.

Probably doesn't help you choosing though lol.

    haha thanks guys,

and Smack, its engineering business management- first two years you do all the engineering modules, the last year you can choose half of them from the business school!

I'd be slightly wary of doing a degree titled "engineering business management" in case employers think it is a business degree rather than an engineering degree. Is it accredited by any of the professional bodies?

well thats what i'm concerned of too actually! But the thing is that i can always choose to take engineering modules in the last year as well and make it Mechanical, electrical engineering for example. But generally what do you think, is warwick any for engineering?? i mean when i have to choose my firm and assurance, should i consider it. I personally was thinking Nottingham -firm and wrwick- assurance! what do you think?

Taking the engineering modules so that it says some sort of engineering on the degree certificate rather than business management is a good choice.

I don't know whether Warwick is good for engineering. I do know that both Nottingham and Southampton are excellent, though. My advice would be to visit all four cities and see which department and location you get the best feel for. Also look to see which university has the best links with the sectors and companies you want to work for.

Hey thanks and I'm still unsure I really like bath too. You think Kingston should be totally of my list? Because I've been hearing it's a crap uni

Well i'm an international student from Pakistan actually, so it isn't quite possible for me to visit these universities before making a decision! The best i could do is get the feedback from you guys, from people who've visited these universities themselves and probably call the universities and ask them myself! About southampton and nottingham, they're currently rated No. 1 and No. 2 respectively in Mechanical Engineering accourding to the Gaurdian! So i'm sure that counts for something. have you ever been to any of these cities? if yes, how would you describe them?

and Airbus.Boeing, i don't really know much about Kingston. Southampton is rated top in the UK for mechanical eng, so i'm sure it's quite good in Aeronautics too!

It all comes down to whether you want to do general MechE or specialise in Aero/Astro frrom the beginning.

Southhampton is 1 in the Guardian tables mainly through its student staff ratio of 8, which is a complete joke. While they are an excellent department you have to give them great credit for figuring out how to fiddle the stats.

My origins are originally from Pakistan too although I was born and bred in the UK. Wow your going to be paying a huge amount of fees to study here tbh I think I'll be choosing the university of bath as my first choice then Glasgow or Loughborough as my insurance. You have any ideas yet?

At the open day, they said if you want to go into F1, then get a masters at Southampton or Imperial or postgrad at Cranfield.

I know Nottingham and Southampton are excellent for engineering, I'm not sure about the others.
Look over the course structures again, they seem to be varied so maybe you have a preference there?
Also, location is a factor. I know you said you can't visit, but you can usually find videos of the universities and campuses on their websites/youtube :dontknow:

Well, I did see lots more hot girls than the youtube video let on.

It was actually better when I saw it so judging by a video could lead to disappointment if things go the other way.
