Just wondered if I'd be safe if i went on holiday to Las Vegas for a week or 2. My uncle got wed there and i saw the pictures and videos of Vegas and it seems like a great place. However i would like to know the chances of me coming home alive and unshot after leaving Las Vegas

Las Vegas is quite safe if you stay on the main strip. As long as you don't go around provoking people and starting fights, you should stay out of trouble. Which hotel(s) are you thinking about staying at?

You make it sound like visiting Vegas will be the death of you. It's Sin city, nothing more. Best place alive.

It's a great city. Unlike other US cities though because it's entire economy is based around gambling and drinking there is not a lot to do there till you turn 21. I don't know how old you are but if you aren't 21 there is little point going to Vegas.

No go, definitely, i was there in the summer and as long as you stay on the main strip your completely safe. There's way to many people for anything to happen. You'll be fine as long as you dont actually go around the place looking for trouble. I was there in the summer, The Mirage, stay there.

It's safe. 19? You'll be bored. There isn't much to do in Vegas apart from gambling...

There are a few things you can do if you aren't 21 yet. However, unless you have someone with you who is 21 or older, you won't be able to check into many of the hotels.

    Wait till you're 21 then.

It's not like here where you can sneak into the bars if you're just under age. The US is very strict on alcohol sales and no reputable bar/casino in Vegas is going to want to be caught serving a minor.

If you really want to go to the US then go to New York or Florida or LA as there are plenty of things for under 21's to do. Vegas exists entirely on it's nighttime economy and there is very little else to do. It is in essence a single road in the middle of the desert. You can go and see the Grand Canyon it's pretty spectacular but that is pretty much it.

'Las Vegas you'll be the death of me, city of sin, oh what a mess I'm in, look what you've done to me.'

    There you have it.
