I need to write an essay on the Religious Settlement of 1559, especially concerning the factors that influenced it.

Does anybody have any good recomendations?

I only know Irish Elizabethan histories. My library catalogue throws up the following: The Province of Canterbury and the Elizabethan Settlement by C.W Field, The Elizabethan Clergy and settlement of religion 1558- 1564 by Henry Gee and The Elizabethan Religious Settlement: a study of contemporary documents by Henry Norbert Birt. None of these are accessible, the first and last seem to be pretty old, so they mightn't be as good as more modern ones. If you have access to JSTOR or ISI, I'd recommend searching for articles there, and searching for reviews of the above books. I'd recommend getting a book on Cecil, Conyers Read seems to be the expert there.
